Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Foreclosure Attorney in Garden City, NY. The ideal candidate will draft complex motions, handle court appearances, and work closely with clients, court personnel, and opposing parties. Duties

• Appear in Supreme, Surrogates, and Federal Court to argue motions and participate in mediations.
• Maintain communication with clients, investors, and adversaries for timely case progress.
• Build relationships with court personnel to manage case timelines and filings.
• Oversee and mentor support staff on legal documentation and client communication.
• Draft and manage complex motions for litigation and loss mitigation processes.
• Review and oversee paralegal work to ensure quality and accuracy of legal documents.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience handling foreclosure matters in New York State.
• Admitted to practice in New York (EDNY and SDNY is a plus).
• Superior organizational skills to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
• Strong legal writing and drafting skills for complex motions and documents.
• Proven communication skills with clients, adversaries, and court personnel.
• Leadership qualities to manage and guide support staff.
• Proactive, independent worker eager to learn and grow.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in New York State.
