A law firm seeks a mid-level associate with 3-5 years of experience to join their Creditors' Rights, Restructuring & Bankruptcy Practice Group in Garden City, NY. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creditors' rights and bankruptcy law.

Duties

• Draft complaints and motions.
• Conduct discovery processes.
• Take depositions.
• Appear in federal, state, and bankruptcy courts.
• Negotiate settlements.
• Correspond with opposing counsel and clients.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of relevant legal experience.
• Experience in bankruptcy and creditors' rights law preferred.
• Knowledge of collateral repossession and the Uniform Commercial Code.
• Familiarity with equipment leasing, commercial real estate foreclosure, and commercial finance law.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Admission to the state bar.
