Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly motivated Tax Associate Attorney with five or more years of transactional tax experience to join their Tax Credit and Impact Finance group in San Francisco, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in community development transactions utilizing new markets tax credits, historic rehabilitation tax credits, and/or renewable energy investment tax credits.

Duties

  • Advise clients on tax credit transactions and impact finance matters.
  • Draft and review legal documents related to tax credit transactions.
  • Collaborate with clients and colleagues to structure tax credit deals.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on tax-related issues.

Requirements

  • Five or more years of transactional tax experience.
  • Experience with NMTCs, HTCs, and RETCs preferred.
  • Excellent writing and analytical skills.
  • Active license to practice in the applicable jurisdiction.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in the applicable jurisdiction.

Skills

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
