Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Midlevel Tax Associate for its New York office. The ideal candidate will have over two years of transactional tax experience, preferably from a large law firm or a big four accounting firm.

Duties

• Negotiate and draft tax-related provisions for transaction documents, including purchase, merger, partnership, and credit agreements.
• Research complex tax issues and structure tax aspects of corporate and partnership transactions.
• Engage in tax planning for transactions in areas such as mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and debt finance.

Requirements

• Over two years of transactional tax experience.
• Experience in a large law firm or big four accounting firm preferred.
• Stellar academic credentials.
• Availability to work in person.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Bar admission in New York.

Skills

• Strong negotiation and drafting skills.
• Proficiency in researching complex tax issues.
• Ability to structure tax aspects of transactions.
