Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced USPTO registered Patent Agent with a focus on Chemistry for their Seattle, WA office. The role involves patent prosecution, client counseling, opinion preparation, and patent office litigation. Candidates may also be considered for other office locations, including Winston-Salem, NC.

Duties

• Conduct patent prosecution and manage related processes.
• Provide client counseling and prepare legal opinions.
• Engage in patent office litigation, including IPR/PGR proceedings.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in patent prosecution, preferably in a law firm setting.
• Experience in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical, and/or Small Molecule prosecution required.
• Active USPTO Registration Number required.

Education

• Technical or advanced degree in Chemistry or a closely related field preferred.

Certifications

• USPTO Registration.

Skills

• Proficiency in technical writing is a plus.
