Commercial Real Estate Finance Midlevel Associate

Job Overview
A law firm seeks a highly motivated midlevel associate with a solid background in real estate finance and lender representation in New York. The ideal candidate will have approximately three to five years of experience in commercial real estate lending transactions, with a strong foundation in drafting, document review, and due diligence. This position offers an opportunity to take on meaningful responsibility in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Draft loan documents.
• Conduct and manage due diligence reviews.
• Review opinion letters and other third-party documents.
• Lead the preparation of closing checklists and coordinate closing logistics.
• Communicate directly with clients and other transaction parties.
• Manage multiple workstreams within a given deal.

Requirements

• Three to five years of substantive experience in real estate finance.
• Strong analytical and drafting skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to manage multiple assignments.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Self-starter comfortable with significant transaction ownership.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar admission in the attorney's resident and/or affiliated office.

Skills

• Familiarity with lender-side representation preferred.
