Litigation Associate

A well-regarded boutique law firm in Newport Beach, California, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Litigation Associate to join their dynamic team. This firm prides itself on fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment, and the ideal candidate will bring at least two years of litigation and/or transactional experience to the table. A top-tier law school background is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support a diverse caseload of litigation matters, providing strategic advice and guidance to clients.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery, and contracts.
• Conduct thorough legal research, providing actionable insights and analyses to senior attorneys.
• Represent clients in court, during hearings, and in settlement negotiations.
• Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy, client communications, and overall litigation plans.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and results-driven representation.
• Ensure that all cases progress smoothly, meeting deadlines, and maintaining the highest level of client service.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school (top 50 law schools preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in litigation, with exposure to transactional matters considered a plus.
• Strong background in legal research and writing, with the ability to produce high-quality work.
• Ability to think critically and strategically, contributing to case strategy and overall legal direction.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of clearly presenting complex information.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and cases effectively.
• Experience in courtroom appearances, depositions, or arbitration proceedings is highly valued.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in handling business, commercial, or real estate litigation.
• Prior exposure to transactional work or contract drafting is an advantage.
