Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Business Litigation Attorney in Newport Beach, CA. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in business or intellectual property litigation and a desire to take cases to trial. Duties

• Independently handle litigation and pre-lawsuit dispute matters from initial client contact through resolution.
• Identify claims and provide clients with clear, strategic advice.
• Draft demand letters, attend mediations, and negotiate resolutions for clients.
• Draft pleadings, take depositions, and develop cases for trial or arbitration hearings.
• Confer effectively with franchisors and opposing counsel.
• Set and manage client expectations with professionalism and clarity.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar.
• Minimum 2 years of legal experience in business or intellectual property litigation.
