Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Private Clients, Trusts & Estates Associate to join its Washington, DC office. The successful candidate will work with high net worth individuals, families, and family offices, providing sophisticated estate planning services and handling estate and trust administration.

Duties

  • Advise clients on estate planning strategies.
  • Draft wills, trusts, and ancillary documents.
  • Research and project tax implications of planning techniques.
  • Prepare client educational and summary materials.
  • Communicate directly with clients to advance their goals.
  • Support partners across various offices.

Requirements

  • 2nd to 5th year associate experience.
  • Experience in estate planning and administration.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in good standing.

Skills

  • Strong drafting and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in tax research and analysis.
  • Client-focused with attention to detail.
