Job Overview:
A national labor and employment law firm is seeking a remote Litigation Associate or Of Counsel attorney to handle a broad range of employment litigation matters. This non-partner track role involves defending employers in litigation, administrative proceedings, and workplace disputes across multiple jurisdictions.

Duties:

  • Defend employers in employment-related litigation and agency proceedings
  • Handle matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, employment torts, contract disputes, and non-compete claims
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, arbitrations, mediations, and before administrative agencies
  • Manage employment-related demand letters and agency charges
  • Advise and counsel employers on labor and employment law compliance and best practices
  • Conduct client training on workplace and employment law matters
  • Support litigation strategy and case management from inception through resolution
  • Collaborate with attorneys and support teams on complex employment matters
  • Handle class action and PAGA-related matters when applicable

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of California employment litigation experience for Associate-level consideration
  • Generally, 9+ years of relevant California employment litigation experience for Of Counsel consideration
  • Demonstrated first-chair litigation capability for senior-level consideration
  • Experience handling employment litigation matters in state and federal forums
  • Class action or PAGA experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
  • Active California Bar admission required and compliance with resident-state ethical obligations

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Admission to the California State Bar
