Job Overview

A law firm seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Energy and Environmental Litigation Associate to join its legal team in Harrisburg. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in related litigation, with a strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and litigation procedures. Experience in land use and zoning is a plus.

Duties

  • Manage and litigate public utility, energy, and environmental disputes, including regulatory proceedings and court cases.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to energy and environmental regulations.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Advise clients on legal risks and compliance strategies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop effective case strategies.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments impacting the energy and environmental sectors.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and hearings.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in energy and environmental litigation.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state public utility, energy, and environmental laws and regulations.
  • Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Pennsylvania Bar Admission Required.
