Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney specializing in Estate Planning and Elder Law in Colorado Springs, CO. The ideal candidate will be passionate about building meaningful client relationships and guiding clients through pivotal life moments. This role offers the opportunity to engage directly with clients and contribute to the firm's growth.

Duties

  • Conduct consultations and guide clients through the estate planning process.
  • Advise on trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and asset titling.
  • Supervise document preparation and execution with paralegals and support staff.
  • Administer trust, probate, guardianship, and conservatorship matters.
  • Advise on elder law matters, including Medicaid planning.
  • Present at public workshops and educational classes.
  • Build referral relationships with financial advisors and other professionals.
  • Represent the firm at networking events and community gatherings.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active Colorado bar license in good standing.
  • Minimum 2 years' private practice experience.
  • Strong client relationship and communication skills.
  • Comfort with public speaking and workshop presentation.

Education

  • Doctor of Law (J.D.)

Certifications

  • Active Colorado bar license

Skills

  • Strong communication and client relationship skills.
  • Experience in estate planning, trust administration, and/or probate.
  • Familiarity with practice management platforms like Clio.
