Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Real Estate Counsel in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in real estate transactions, including development and re-development, with a focus on build-to-suit leases, land acquisitions, and preparing land for development. This role involves working with developers, owners, investors, and other stakeholders on complex transactions across various asset classes.

Duties

  • Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, commercial leases, and development agreements.
  • Lead due diligence processes, including title and survey review.
  • Coordinate and close acquisitions, dispositions, and development transactions.
  • Manage workstreams and mentor junior lawyers.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of sophisticated real estate transactional experience.
  • Experience at a major law firm with a national practice.
  • Proven track record in acquisitions, dispositions, and complex leasing.
  • Experience coordinating closings and overseeing due diligence.
  • Licensed to practice law and in good standing in the relevant state.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Massachusetts.
