Job Overview
A law firm seeks an Immigration Attorney for a full-time, on-site role in Miami, FL. The ideal candidate will be passionate about immigration law and eager to make a meaningful impact in clients' lives while working in a collaborative environment.

Duties

  • Represent clients in removal proceedings and USCIS interviews.
  • Conduct bond hearings in Immigration Court.
  • Handle removal proceedings, including waivers for crimes, EOIR 42A and B, and I-601 waivers.
  • Draft motions to terminate and motions for administrative closure.
  • Conduct legal research to support case preparation and strategy.
  • Manage diverse immigration cases from family-based residencies to naturalization.
  • Maintain organized case files and documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with clients about case progress and developments.

Requirements

  • Experience in immigration issues and immigration law.
  • Experience in court and USCIS proceedings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a must; Portuguese is a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Member in good standing of the state bar.
