The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in commercial litigation and possess strong academic credentials, excellent research and writing skills, and a thorough understanding of civil procedure in both state and federal courts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle a variety of commercial litigation cases from inception to resolution.
  • Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and briefs.
  • Manage discovery, including taking and defending depositions.
  • Represent clients in court appearances, hearings, and trials.
  • Develop and implement case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys.
  • Advise clients on legal risks and potential outcomes.
  • Prepare for and participate in mediation and settlement negotiations.
  • Ensure compliance with all procedural and substantive legal standards.
  • Stay current with changes in laws and regulations affecting commercial litigation.

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of experience in commercial litigation.
  • Strong academic record, including a J.D. or equivalent degree from a well-respected U.S. law school.
  • In-depth knowledge of the rules of civil procedure for both state and federal courts.
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Pennsylvania State Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
