Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate with 2-5 years of experience to join the real estate finance group within the Finance Department in Denver, Colorado. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with a wide range of debt, debt-like, and equity transactions secured by or invested in real estate projects, with particular expertise in construction financing and multi-tiered capital transactions.

Duties

  • Handle sophisticated structured real estate finance transactions.
  • Engage in preferred equity investments and distressed commercial real estate matters.
  • Work on lender/capital provider-side and borrower-side transactions.
  • Collaborate directly with partners and maintain client contact.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in real estate finance.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Strong writing and analytical skills.
  • Active bar license in the location of consideration.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.

  • Proficiency in handling complex financial transactions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
