Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Mergers & Acquisitions Resource Attorney in New York, NY. This role supports the M&A practice group by enhancing the efficiency and knowledge of practicing attorneys. The position involves managing resources, drafting documents, and staying updated on legal developments without direct client interaction.

Duties

  • Manage transaction database by inputting deal terms and coordinating audits.
  • Draft and revise template documents and organize M&A forms and precedents.
  • Monitor legal developments and prepare summaries and alerts.
  • Coordinate with the legal education team for associate training content.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on M&A promotion and content creation.
  • Assist attorneys with requests for precedents and templates.
  • Participate in resource, knowledge management, and practice innovation projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Licensed attorney with at least 4 years of experience in US M&A corporate/transactional practice.
  • Understanding of public and private M&A, corporate governance, and market trends.
  • Strong drafting and organizational skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in the United States.
