Job Title: ERISA Partner

Job Overview: A law firm based in Cleveland, OH, seeks an experienced ERISA Partner to join its team. The successful candidate will oversee various employee benefits matters, including designing, drafting, and supporting various plans and programs. The role entails handling controversial work, merger, and acquisition support, ideally bringing in some transferrable business.

Duties:

  • Designing, drafting, and providing support for defined contribution plans, defined benefit plans, employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs), employee welfare plans, and executive compensation programs.
  • Handling controversial work related to employee benefits matters.
  • Providing merger and acquisition support regarding employee benefits issues.
  • Bringing in transferrable business to the firm.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Ohio State Bar, with the ability to practice law in Ohio.
  • Proven experience in employee benefits law, particularly ERISA matters.
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and drafting various employee benefit plans and programs.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Ohio State Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Expertise in employee benefits law, particularly ERISA matters.
  • Proficiency in designing and drafting various employee benefit plans and programs.
