Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Private Equity Associate to join its Atlanta, GA office. The role involves advising strategic buyers and sellers or private equity firms on M&A matters in a dynamic market. Candidates should have 4-7 years of experience in high-profile M&A or PE transactions at a leading corporate law firm.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case preparation.
  • Draft well-reasoned legal documents, including briefs and contracts.
  • Manage complex cases/transactions from inception to resolution.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative strategies.
  • Participate in high-level legal activities such as negotiations and trials.
  • Ensure compliance with legal standards and regulations.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities.
  • Contribute to firm programs and pro bono work.

Requirements

  • 4-7 years of private equity experience.
  • Experience with AmLaw 100 firm preferred.
  • Superior academic credentials.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.

Education

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice in the state of Georgia.
