Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly motivated tax attorney with seven or more years of transactional tax experience to join their Tax Credit and Impact Finance group in San Francisco, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in community development transactions utilizing new markets tax credits, historic rehabilitation tax credits, and/or renewable energy investment tax credits.

Duties

  • Advise clients on tax credit transactions and community development projects.
  • Draft and review legal documents related to tax credit financing.
  • Collaborate with a team to structure and close complex financial transactions.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant tax laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Seven or more years of transactional tax experience.
  • Experience with NMTCs, HTCs, and RETCs preferred.
  • Excellent writing and analytical skills.
  • Active license to practice in the applicable jurisdiction.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in the applicable jurisdiction.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
