Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Municipal Associate in San Diego to join their expanding Public Law team. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience in public agency or municipal law and possess excellent writing, research, and analytical skills.

Duties

• Review and draft agreements, including public agency and municipal contracts.
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda.
• Assist with public contracting, procurement, and regulatory compliance matters.
• Support attorneys with transactional and advisory matters for public agency clients.
• Communicate effectively with clients, public officials, and colleagues.

Requirements

• Experience with public agency or municipal law.
• Strong work ethic, self-starter, and team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to manage matters independently and interface directly with public officials and staff.
• Admission to the State Bar of California.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Admission to the State Bar of California.
