Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced attorney to join its Real Estate Investments and Transactions Group in New York. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in commercial real estate transactional matters, including joint ventures, complex acquisitions, and real estate finance.

Duties

  • Collaborate with partners and senior associates on real estate matters for private equity funds, asset managers, and REITs.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate joint venture agreements, purchase and sale agreements, and financing documents.
  • Coordinate and oversee real estate due diligence projects, including title, survey, and zoning.
  • Maintain client contact and stay informed of industry trends.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience at a large law firm.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent writing and time management skills.
  • Admission to practice in New York or eligibility to obtain admission promptly.
  • Experience using AI technologies responsibly in legal practice preferred.

Education

  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the New York State Bar.

Skills

  • Proficiency in legal research and document drafting.
