Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly skilled Intellectual Property Associate with a technical or engineering focus to join their team in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will have two to four years of experience in intellectual property matters, including patent and trade secret cases. This role requires strong research, writing, and advocacy skills, along with the ability to work independently.

Duties

  • Handle intellectual property litigation, focusing on patent and trade secret cases.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and draft persuasive legal documents.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop case strategies.
  • Engage in client communications and manage client expectations.

Requirements

  • Two to four years of experience in intellectual property law.
  • Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Membership in the State Bar of New York or eligibility to obtain it.

Education

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent preferred.

Certifications

  • Admission to the State Bar of New York or ability to obtain admission.
