Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Fund Services Associate in Washington, D.C. The firm represents leading venture capital and growth equity firms both in the U.S. and internationally, guiding clients through every stage of the fund life cycle. The role requires a mid-level candidate with 4-6 years of experience to take a leading role in growing the practice.

Duties

  • Structure, form, and operate investment funds with sponsors.
  • Advise clients on legal, regulatory, and compliance matters.
  • Provide expertise on the Securities Act, Exchange Act, Investment Company Act, and Investment Advisers Act.
  • Represent investors in private investment funds.
  • Advise on all aspects of investment programs.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of fund formation experience.
  • Experience at a national or international law firm.
  • Superior academic credentials.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in good standing.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
