Pedersen & Houpt is one of the leading law firms in Chicago, and has enjoyed positive reviews from its employees. The firm has a fun, flexible, and inclusive work environment, and is located in a great spot in the loop. The firm culture is praised, with leadership being on point, and the attorneys are said to be great. Employees are treated to competitive compensation, benefits, and employee events.

However, there are some drawbacks to working at the firm. Job security is low, with many attorneys coming and going, and support staff being looked down upon. The workload can be intense at times, and communication between the HR department and employees is said to be lacking.
