Providence office of our client seeks labor and employment/litigation associate attorney with 1-4 years of experience. The candidate will represent employers in management-side employment litigation and compliance work. Will be comfortable communicating with clients in a professional, practical, open and level-headed manner, even when dealing with highly sensitive issues. Should have 2+ years of litigation experience. Experience in forums that handle employment claims at the administrative level (state and federal department of labor; MCAD; EEOC; and RICHR) is preferred. Familiarity with substantive state and federal employment laws (such as leave laws, wage and hour laws, and anti-discrimination laws) is desired. Pawtucket office of our client seeks complex litigation attorney with 10+ years of experience. The candidate will review and analyze pre and post-judgment title issues to ensure marketable title to the clients or identify potential title issues and assess resolution options. Will draft substantive pleadings, motions, and memoranda; formally appear at court hearings, mediations, depositions and trials on behalf of client. Must be in good standing and active in preferably all state and federal courts of Rhode Island, Massachusetts and New Hampshire as well as the First Circuit Court of Appeals. Experience including trials, appeals, and contested foreclosure matters is essential. Knowledge of residential foreclosure process and general real estate law, including litigation, title curative / title claims, and post-judgment litigation; Experience handling FDCPA, RESPA, and TILA claims, predatory lending/consumer claims and as well as creditor rights generally is needed.
