How Would Top Firms View a Candidate Who Came from a Top Law School with Poor Undergrad Grades Speaker 1:[00:00:00] Will poor undergraduate grades continue to haunt me? I've been pursuing top jobs, clerkships, big law, despite being in a top law school and having done well there.
No, poor undergraduate grades will not haunt you. They won't. Sometimes people, if they're a patent attorneys will look at your undergraduate grades. But if you are at a top law school, I don't know why they would.
Sometimes they look at your undergraduate grades, but no, I don't think your undergraduate grades will affect you. If you got into a top law school you must've done really well your LSATs. That's great. Your ability to do well in law school is more a function, I think, of your legal ability than how are you doing in undergrad. Anybody can do well in undergrad if they do that sort of thing.
