AI Project Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an AI Project Attorney in Menlo Park, CA, with the option for 100% remote work within the US. The role involves supporting the integration and utilization of artificial intelligence in legal services, collaborating across various teams and departments.

Duties

• Develop and build generative AI workflows and use cases for legal practice.
• Create materials for different practice areas and roles.
• Expand prompt and workflow libraries and drive utilization by lawyers.
• Collaborate with practice groups on AI adoption and utilization.
• Train lawyers and timekeepers on AI and serve as a subject-matter resource.
• Develop and deliver workshops and learning opportunities on AI.
• Maintain understanding of the firm's generative AI tools and best practices.
• Assist in onboarding and adoption of legal technology.
• Communicate with clients on AI and legal tech solutions.
• Develop case studies for marketing and business development.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) and admission to practice in a US jurisdiction.
• Minimum of three years of experience as an attorney in a law firm or similar environment.
• Strong technical skills and familiarity with generative AI and machine learning.
• Experience in developing AI workflows and supporting legal technology adoption.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, project management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Availability to travel as necessary.

Education

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited university or college.

Salaries are in line with other top Bay Area firms, and the firm provides a sizable bonus for all lawyers who bill at least 1,950 hours, with additional money based on three separate billable-hour levels above 1,950.
