Duties

  • Independently manage a caseload involving the defense of nursing home negligence claims.
  • Lead all aspects of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, and court appearances.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and proactive counsel.
  • Draft and review complex legal documents, including pleadings and settlement agreements.
  • Collaborate closely with attorneys and partners on strategic legal projects.

Requirements

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Must be admitted to practice in NY.
  • 5+ years of defense litigation experience, focusing on medical malpractice and nursing home negligence.
  • Experience taking and defending depositions, including expert depositions.
  • Proven ability to manage complex cases independently.
  • Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
  • Understanding of state and federal regulations.
  • Ability to travel to client sites throughout Westchester, NYC, and surrounding areas.

Education

  • JD from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice in NY.
