Litigation Associate

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate with 4-8 years of experience for its Garden City, NY office. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in complex commercial litigation, including shareholder and partnership disputes, defaulted financial transactions, creditors' rights matters, and real estate litigation.

Duties

• Handle complex commercial litigation cases independently.
• Supervise junior associates and collaborate with senior attorneys.
• Attend court conferences, hearings, and conduct depositions.
• Manage all phases of discovery effectively.
• Interact directly with clients and counterparties.

Requirements

• 4-8 years of experience in commercial and/or Trusts & Estates litigation.
• Strong writing and analytical skills.
• Experience in trial, Trusts & Estates, or Employment Practices litigation is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• License to practice law in good standing in the State of New York.

Skills

• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
