Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level Complex Litigation/Class Actions Associate Attorney in Seattle, Washington. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in class action defense and a commitment to excellence in legal practice.

Duties

  • Defend consumer class actions, including false advertising and product defect cases.
  • Handle cases involving breach of warranty and consumer protection law violations.
  • Draft briefs and correspondence, and respond to written discovery.
  • Conduct depositions, oral arguments, and expert interviews.
  • Manage e-discovery processes effectively.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in class action defense.
  • Experience with California Unfair Competition Law.
  • Proficiency in briefing class certification and summary judgment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong case management skills and a team-oriented attitude.
  • Active membership in the California, New York, or Washington State Bar.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Bar membership in California, New York, or Washington State.

Skills

  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in managing complex litigation cases.
