Commercial and Trusts & Estates Litigation Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an attorney with a minimum of 1 year of litigation experience to join its Hackensack, NJ office. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial litigation and/or trusts and estates litigation, with strong research, writing, and advocacy skills.

Duties

• Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to support litigation matters, including commercial disputes and trusts & estates litigation.
• Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, motions, discovery demands, and settlement agreements.
• Collaborate closely with senior attorneys to develop and execute case strategies.
• Participate in court appearances, hearings, depositions, conferences, and negotiations.
• Establish and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and advocacy.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active New Jersey State Bar admission.
• Minimum of 1 year of litigation experience, preferably including exposure to commercial litigation and/or trusts & estates litigation.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active New Jersey State Bar admission.

Skills

• Demonstrated excellent writing skills.
• Proficiency in end-to-end case management and a strong understanding of litigation workflow.
