Job Overview

Duties

  • Review HUD-1/ALTA settlement statements and deeds.
  • Disburse proceeds from real property sales to interested parties.
  • File interpleader actions.
  • Review title and prepare notices of sale for VA foreclosure sales.
  • Manage a high-volume portfolio with strict deadlines.
  • Address inquiries related to real estate title and insurance.
  • Attend foreclosure sales as needed.
  • Perform other legal duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Admission to the Virginia Bar required.
  • 1-3 years of real estate law experience preferred.
  • Experience resolving title problems through litigation or negotiation desired.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask.
  • Comfortable working independently and with a team.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Admission to the Virginia Bar.
