Job Overview

A law firm seeks a junior to mid-level healthcare associate to join its national healthcare practice in Denver, CO. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, law firm experience, and excellent research, writing, and communication skills. A minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare law is preferred.

Duties

• Provide legal support in state licensure of healthcare entities and practitioners.
• Assist with government payor enrollment, reimbursement, and audits, including Medicare and Medicaid.
• Advise on healthcare fraud and abuse laws, including federal anti-kickback and Stark provisions.
• Support government investigations and related litigation.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, privacy, and security regulations.
• Engage in healthcare system operational and payor contracting.
• Offer regulatory or transactional support for healthcare M&A deals.

Requirements

• Motivated self-starter with a demonstrated interest in healthcare law.
• Ability to navigate complex subject matter quickly and effectively.
• Team-oriented with ambition and drive to grow the national practice.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Active bar admission in the jurisdiction of intended practice.
