Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Trust Administration and Probate Associate Attorney in Costa Mesa, CA. Duties

  • Draft, review, and edit accounting, probate, and conservatorship petitions and other pleadings.
  • Oversee trust administrations, probate, and conservatorship cases from inception to closure.
  • Review probate notes and tentative rulings.
  • Appear at hearings.
  • Collaborate with partners and associate attorneys to ensure case progress.
  • Delegate work to paralegals, secretaries, and clerical staff, and monitor their work.
  • Lead and participate in initial consultations and client meetings.

Requirements

  • Active/licensed attorney in good standing with the CA State Bar.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail, highly organized, and able to handle multiple cases.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and Adobe Acrobat.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in California.

Skills

  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
