Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Litigation Attorney with over 5 years of experience to join its Baltimore, MD office. This position involves handling complex commercial litigation and construction law matters, including contract disputes, mechanics liens, and business-related issues. The successful candidate will manage cases from pre-suit through trial, engaging in motion practice, depositions, and discovery, while actively contributing to case strategy and client advocacy.

Duties

• Handle all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, and motion practice.
• Draft pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and other proceedings.
• Manage case strategy, deadlines, and client communications.
• Assist with trial preparation and collaborate with internal teams.

Requirements

• J.D. and admission to the Maryland Bar (DC/VA a plus).
• 5+ years of commercial litigation experience, with construction law preferred.
• Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience with depositions, motions, and discovery management.
• Ability to manage multiple matters independently.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.)
