Family Law Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Family Law Attorney in Lynnwood, Washington, for a full-time, in-person position. The attorney will represent clients in various family law matters, including divorce, legal separation, and child support, primarily in Snohomish and King counties.

Duties

• Conduct consultations with prospective clients.
• Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Prepare legal documents such as pleadings and motions.
• Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies.
• Negotiate settlements while protecting clients' interests.
• Manage discovery and evidentiary issues.
• Maintain regular communication with clients.
• Participate in firm meetings and continuing legal education.

Requirements

• Active license to practice law in Washington.
• Family law litigation experience preferred.
• Experience with contested hearings and trials preferred.
• Strong legal writing and analytical skills.
• Excellent negotiation and courtroom advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage multiple active cases independently.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications
