Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A Miami-based litigation and insurance defense law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its growing practice. This role offers substantial client interaction, courtroom exposure, and hands-on litigation experience in a fast-paced yet collaborative environment. The position is ideal for attorneys who thrive in managing active litigation matters while maintaining strong client relationships.

Duties:

• Manage litigation matters within insurance defense and civil litigation practice areas
• Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
• Appear in court proceedings and represent clients in litigation matters
• Draft pleadings, motions, correspondence, and other legal documents
• Develop case strategies and evaluate legal issues throughout the litigation process
• Maintain and manage an active caseload while meeting deadlines and litigation requirements
• Conduct legal research and analyze case-related issues
• Participate in trial preparation and support trial proceedings as needed

Requirements:

• Experience in insurance defense, civil litigation, or related practice areas preferred
• Ability to manage multiple cases and competing deadlines effectively
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills
• Trial experience as first or second chair is a plus
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members
• Commitment to providing high-quality client service and advocacy

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Florida
