Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Practice Innovation Attorney in San Francisco, CA, to support the adoption and implementation of advanced legal technology and artificial intelligence tools within its Asset Management Group. This role involves collaboration with practice group leaders to drive innovation in attorney workflows, enhance client delivery, and improve internal efficiency.

Duties

  • Collaborate with partners and attorneys to identify opportunities for workflow improvement using AI and legal technology tools.
  • Assess and implement technology solutions for asset management legal work, including fund formation and compliance.
  • Engage with clients to address service needs related to AI and technology platforms.
  • Lead technology pilot programs, manage rollouts, and coordinate cross-functional teams.
  • Provide support to client service teams during technology adoption and integration.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Group and internal teams to ensure alignment of legal tech initiatives.
  • Contribute insights for the development of precedent, templates, and guidance materials.
  • Support client-facing innovation opportunities and business development efforts.
  • Stay informed on legal technology trends and market innovations.

Requirements

  • J.D. degree and active license with a minimum of 5 years of legal practice experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in asset management.
  • Strong understanding of fund formation processes and related legal issues.
  • Practical experience with legal AI tools.
  • Demonstrated interest in legal innovation and technology adoption.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
