A law firm seeks a motivated and compassionate Junior Associate Family Law Attorney to join its growing practice in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. The successful candidate will assist with a broad range of family law matters and demonstrate strong advocacy, organization, and client-care skills.

Duties

  • Assist senior attorneys with family law matters, including divorce, custody, and child support.
  • Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries and analyses.
  • Represent clients in court appearances and hearings under supervision.
  • Participate in client meetings and ongoing communications.
  • Manage assigned cases with attention to deadlines and ethical standards.
  • Collaborate with paralegals and other attorneys for efficient case management.
  • Maintain accurate and timely timekeeping and case documentation.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in Massachusetts or admission pending.
  • 0-3 years of legal experience; family law experience preferred.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of professionalism and attention to detail.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice law in Massachusetts or admission pending.

  • Interest in or exposure to family law and domestic relations.
  • Comfort appearing in court and interacting with opposing counsel.
