Discovery Attorney

Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Discovery Attorney in Tewksbury, Massachusetts, to manage the discovery process in divorce and family law cases. This role involves identifying, obtaining, and analyzing financial and factual information to drive case value and trial readiness.

Duties

• Draft and manage all aspects of discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production of documents, and subpoenas.
• Review and analyze discovery responses for completeness and accuracy.
• Identify deficiencies, inconsistencies, and red flags in financial data.
• Develop and execute discovery strategies with the case attorney.
• Draft and argue motions related to discovery disputes.
• Attend and defend/take depositions.
• Appear in court for discovery hearings and related matters.
• Collaborate with financial analysts, paralegals, and the litigation team.
• Ensure timely, complete, and compliant discovery responses.
• Organize complex financial information into usable case intelligence.

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts Bar license.
• Experience handling discovery in litigation; family law preferred.
• Strong understanding of financial documents and asset tracing.
• Experience drafting and arguing discovery motions.
• Deposition experience required.
• Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Able to manage deadlines and multiple active cases simultaneously.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
