Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly qualified Associate for its Corporate Investment Funds Regulatory Practice in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of relevant asset management regulatory experience, with a strong understanding of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and the Investment Company Act of 1940.

Duties

  • Provide legal, regulatory, and compliance advice to investment advisers and financial institutions globally.
  • Assist in the formation and structuring of private equity, credit, and hedge funds.
  • Counsel clients during SEC examinations, investigations, and enforcement proceedings.
  • Collaborate with the white collar litigation department on related matters.
  • Advise on Investment Company Act issues, including regulatory and structuring concerns.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant asset management regulatory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and the Investment Company Act of 1940.
  • Experience in private equity and hedge fund formation is beneficial.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the bar in the jurisdiction of practice.
