Associate Attorney - Civil Litigation Defense

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced civil litigation defense attorney to join its San Francisco, CA office. The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years of experience in rideshare and Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist (UM/UIM) defense litigation and must be a licensed California attorney.

Duties

• Handle court appearances, discovery, depositions, motions, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Prepare for and participate in trials as needed.
• Provide updates to clients and manage cases independently.
• Report directly to a partner and potentially lead cases.

Requirements

• 4-5 years of experience in civil litigation defense.
• Licensed to practice law in California.
• Experience in rideshare and UM/UIM defense litigation preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in the State Bar of California.

• Strong litigation and case management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
