Job Overview
A law firm's Raleigh, North Carolina, office is seeking an Associate Attorney to support its Medical Malpractice and General Liability practice groups. This role offers the opportunity to join an expanding litigation team, collaborate with experienced attorneys on case development, and contribute to strategic litigation efforts while building client relationships.

Duties

  • Assist in the defense and management of medical malpractice and general liability litigation matters
  • Participate in case strategy, legal analysis, and case development with senior attorneys
  • Conduct legal research and assist in drafting pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents
  • Support trial preparation and case management activities
  • Communicate with clients and assist in maintaining client relationships
  • Collaborate with team members on litigation strategy and case progress
  • Participate in meetings, strategy discussions, and other litigation-related tasks

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of civil litigation experience, preferably involving medical malpractice or general liability matters
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a litigation team environment
  • Strong commitment to professional development and client service
  • Capability to handle multiple assignments and manage litigation responsibilities effectively

Education and Certifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active membership in good standing with the North Carolina State Bar
