Mid-level to Senior level Finance Associate

Job Overview:
A highly regarded law firm is seeking mid-to-senior level Associate Attorneys with 4 to 7 years of experience to join its Financial Practices Group. This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of commercial and real estate finance transactions, representing both borrowers and lenders. The successful candidates will gain hands-on experience managing deals from structuring through closing, while working closely with a collaborative team of experienced finance attorneys. Positions are available in either San Francisco or Irvine.

Location:

• Irvine, CA

Duties:

• Represent clients in commercial finance and real estate finance transactions

• Draft, review, and negotiate loan agreements, security agreements, and related documentation

• Manage transactions from inception through closing, including due diligence and closing deliverables

• Advise on legal issues related to secured lending under UCC Article 9 and real estate secured transactions

• Work closely with partners and team members on deal strategy and client communication

Requirements:

• 4 to 7 years of relevant finance experience in a law firm environment

• Strong background in commercial lending and/or real estate finance

• Experience with both lender-side and borrower-side transactions is preferred

• Ability to handle complex deals with minimal supervision

• Prior exposure to UCC Article 9 or real estate secured lending required

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

• Strong academic credentials preferred

Certifications:

• Active bar membership in good standing in the State of California
