Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Civil Litigator in Denver, CO, to assist with high-stakes personal injury cases. This role focuses on cases involving sexual assault and catastrophic personal injury, advocating for justice against negligent businesses and institutions.

Duties

  • Handle plaintiff-side civil litigation cases from intake through resolution.
  • Conduct legal research and draft complaints, motions, and responses.
  • Take and defend depositions, manage discovery, and prepare expert witnesses.
  • Advocate in negotiations and court proceedings.
  • Provide compassionate guidance to clients throughout the legal process.
  • Collaborate with the litigation team and support staff.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed and in good standing to practice law.
  • 5+ years of litigation experience, preferably in personal injury or related civil litigation.
  • Comfortable handling sensitive matters such as sexual assault cases.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent writing, research, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
  • Self-directed with a high degree of professionalism.
  • Court and deposition experience required.
  • Willingness to work overtime and travel as needed.
  • Maintain CLE credits as required by state licensing boards.

Education

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law and in good standing.
