Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Senior-Level Civil Litigation Attorney in Parsippany, New Jersey. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in civil litigation, with a strong ability to manage complex cases independently. This role involves working on construction litigation, insurance defense, and coverage matters, requiring strong leadership and client management skills. Trial experience is preferred.

Duties

• Manage cases from inception through resolution, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Draft motions, briefs, and legal memoranda.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Appear in court, hearings, and mediations.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.
• Develop case strategies and provide legal analysis.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff.

Requirements

• 10+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Experience in construction litigation, insurance defense, or coverage matters.
• Strong leadership, client management, and case strategy skills.
• Trial experience preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in New Jersey.
