Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Generalist Education Attorney in Monterey, CA. The successful candidate will support public school districts, community college districts, and other public agency clients on various education law matters. Duties

  • Provide legal counsel on governance, student issues, contracts, and compliance for K-12 public school districts and community colleges.
  • Advise on student rights, discipline, Title IX, special education, and public records issues.
  • Represent clients in administrative hearings and proceedings, including those before the Office for Civil Rights.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
  • Admission to the State Bar of California and in good standing.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Passion for advocating for educational institutions and public agencies.
