Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate in Data Privacy and Security for its New York, NY office. The role involves advising and representing clients on complex international data privacy, cybersecurity, intellectual property, and technology law matters, with a focus on emerging artificial intelligence regulations.

Duties

• Advise clients on AI deployment, data usage, and licensing compliance with EU and U.S. privacy laws.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex agreements, including IP and software licenses.
• Lead cross-border breach responses and cybersecurity incident management.
• Develop corporate privacy policies and AI governance frameworks.
• Support clients during regulatory investigations and audits.
• Manage multi-jurisdictional projects and complex negotiations.

Requirements

• JD, LLM, or foreign equivalent degree.
• 3 years of experience advising on EU and U.S. data privacy and cybersecurity laws.
• Experience drafting and reviewing various legal agreements.
• Admitted to practice law in New York.

Education

• JD, LLM, or foreign equivalent degree.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice law in New York.
