Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Personal Injury Attorney in Charleston, SC. Duties

  • Manage a caseload of pre-litigation personal injury files from initiation to settlement.
  • Evaluate liability, damages, and case value; strategize to maximize client recovery.
  • Draft and negotiate demand packages, including injuries and treatment details.
  • Communicate with insurance adjusters and opposing parties for optimal settlements.
  • Keep clients informed and supported with clear, timely communication.
  • Gather and review medical records, bills, and supporting documentation.
  • Document all calls, updates, and decisions in the case management system.
  • Identify cases for litigation and coordinate a clean handoff.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice law in South Carolina.
  • License in Georgia or North Carolina is a plus.
  • Able to build client relationships and maintain confidentiality.
  • Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English (strongly preferred).
  • Personal injury experience preferred; knowledge of Workers Compensation is ideal.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in South Carolina.

Skills
